Every company’s journey to the cloud is different. Damm Group, the most important beer company in Catalonia, needed an update of the working environment of its team and of corporate mail.

We helped them to design the best strategy to move to the ‘cloud’ and we join them on the journey.

Incorporating IBM Connections Cloud and Microsoft Office 365 solutions was the first step we took. IBM Connections Cloud provides an integrated suite of collaboration solutions through which the Damm Group can communicate, collaborate, and build strong relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues.

The platform combines email, instant messaging, online document editing, web conferencing, file sharing, and social networking services in a simplified, easy-to-deploy package. Microsoft Office 365 provides a set of services in SaaS such as: calendar, Office Web Apps, websites and collaboration, and instant messaging and online conferences. In this way, it is possible to work how, when, and where it is required, increasing the productive flexibility of the brewing company.

The last stop in the Damm Group journey to the ‘cloud’ was the migration of corporate mail to IBM Verse. It is a cloud business email platform that integrates social media, analytics and file sharing to learn the behavior of its users and predict their interactions with their coworkers.

For the email transferring process we had to assure a condition: the new messaging service had to coexist with the old one -Notes client-  and users had to be able to use anyone of those.

We migrated 1,400 email users to the cloud and created an environment for access both email system.
